Now that the kids have been home on summer break, for several weeks, is the whole family starting to feel just a bit stir crazy? The Houston heat can make it impossible to spend too much time outside. What’s a parent to do? Why not check out the many summer offerings at the Children’s Museum of Houston? The museum is actually open seven days a week, now through September 5, which means there are plenty of opportunities to enjoy kid-friendly educational entertainment, and the air conditioning!
Keep Cool and Get Your Learning On
The Children’s Museum is filled with hands-on activities perfect for kids of all ages. What will your kids want to see?
The Inventors’ Workshop is perfect for innovative kids looking to fuel their inspiration, while FlowWorks offers up fun ways to learn more about the many properties of water. EcoStation allows kids to learn more about the environment, and Cyberchase is a chance for kids to practice their critical thinking skills!
These are just a few of the many exhibits featured, this summer, at the museum. And don’t forget about Summer of Spies, which will continue running through September 5, 2016. This is a chance for kids, six-years-old and over, to join in the excitement of solving mysteries, through espionage-themed activities!
The museum opens at 10 a.m. Monday through Thursday, throughout the summer, and closes at 6 p.m. except for Thursdays, when hours are extended until 8 p.m. for Free Family Night. It is also open from noon to 6 p.m. on Sundays. Admission is $12 for kids and adults over the age of one. The museum is located at 1500 Binz, Houston, Texas, 77004.
