Love Car History? Don’t Miss the Art Deco Exhibit

Are you a car enthusiast? Know someone that misses the days when classic design filled the roadways, instead of cars prized for their function over their form? If so, there is still time to make plans to visit the Museum of Fine Arts in Houston to see their exhibit, Sculpted in Steel: Art Deco Automobiles and Motorcycles. This exhibit highlights the beautiful craftsmanship used to create vehicles from 1929 to 1940, and it will be open daily, from February 21 through May 30, 2016. This is a great chance for some to relive the glory days of roadsters, and for others to see for the first time some of the most classic cars and bikes in history!

What You’ll Catch at the Museum

In addition to 14 cars and three motorcycles on display, there are also video clips, historical images, and more, making this a riveting lesson in history for those interested in the Art Deco movement, or motor vehicles!

This exhibit is located in the Beck Building, on the ground floor, which is located at 5601 Main Street, Houston. Admission is free for MFAH members, while tickets for the museum and exhibition are $23 for adults over 19-years-old, $18 for seniors over 65, anyone with a military or college ID, and youth 13 to 18-years old. Children 12-years-old and under, are receive free admission.
