Wondering how to spend next weekend as a family? Entertaining the kids can sometimes feel like an endless loop of the same few family-friendly activities. Fortunately, next weekend marks the chance to do something new and fun, by visiting the 28th Annual Houston Children’s Festival. The festival will kick off at 10:30 a.m. April 23, and will run from 10:30 a.m. to 6:30 p.m. both Saturday and Sunday, April 23 and 24, 2016.This is actually the largest children’s festival in the world, and not only is it a great opportunity for your family to enjoy kid-friendly entertainment, it is also an important fundraiser for Child Advocates.
What Can You Enjoy at This Year’s Festival?
There will be five stages at this year’s event, which will feature live music and other entertainment, including several Disney celebrities. There will also be an area called “Circustown,” and over 300 activities!
This event has already raised over $5 million for the non-profit organization, Child Advocates, which helps abused and neglected children throughout Harris County. Admission is free for anyone 3-years-old or under, and $12 for everyone else, if purchased at the gate. Tickets are only $10 if purchased, in advance, online. There are also other discounts available, and the ability to purchase an All-Day Fun Pass for $30.
