Dry mouth is a condition in which your mouth is unusually dry as a result of reduced salivary flow. 
Dry mouth is a common problem and it can dramatically affect the health of your teeth.

 

Common Signs and Symptoms:

*Consistent dryness in your mouth
*Increased tooth decay
*Increased plaque
*Gum disease
*Bad Breath
*Lipstick or food may stick to the teeth
*Dry, sore and cracked lips
 

Causes of Dry Mouth Syndrome:

*Medications 
Most common examples are: high blood pressure medications, drugs used to treat depression and anxiety, decongestants, antihistamines and anti diarrheals.
*Cancer therapy
*Health conditions such as: diabetes, autoimmune disorders, anxiety disorders and depression.
*Tobacco use
